Sydney Cardiologist

Dr Quan Tran is a general and interventional cardiologist committed to providing compassionate evidence-based cardiovascular care. He completed his medical degree with Clinical Distinction at the University of Tasmania. He undertook his junior medical training at Blacktown Hospital, followed by Basic Physician Training at St George Hospital in Sydney. 

Dr Tran completed his cardiology training at Canberra Hospital before undertaking advanced interventional cardiology fellowships at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom and St George Hospital, Sydney.  

Through this training in both Australia and the UK, he gained extensive experience in contemporary interventional techniques and the management of complex coronary disease.

Dr Tran’s clinical interests include the treatment of coronary artery disease using modern, evidence-based techniques with a strong focus on patient safety and optimal outcomes. He also has interests in preventative cardiology and heart failure management.

He has a strong passion for teaching and research, with publications in local and international journals, and involvement in several large international randomised controlled trials.

Dr Tran is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and is committed to providing patient-centred care with clear communication and close collaboration with referring doctors.
